STORY HORSE showed how tough he is when battling out the finish to land the valuable 1m 6f Heritage Handicap at Newmarket on Sunday. The plan was to get some cover, but he jumped so well from the stalls that jockey Saffie Osborne found herself making the running. The 5yo gelding took a keen enough hold but looked to be enjoying himself out in front, leading the 10 runner field from start to finish. The Sir Mark Prescott trained Blindedbythelights launched a challenge at the 1f pole but STORY HORSE refused to go down without a fight. He dug deep with the assistance of a strong ride from his jockey and held on to win by a short head.
