TIMELY AFFAIR was our first winner of 2026, when winning the 1m Handicap at Southwell on Sunday. Drawn in stall 5, he jumped nicely travelling in touch with the leaders. He made headway just over a furlong out and put in a tough performance to hold on to win by a head under jockey Neil Callan. TIMELY AFFAIR is a 4yo gelding by Time Test and half brother to the consistent filly ROYAL VELVET. Congratulations to his owner and breeder Mrs Susie Hartley.
