Spanish Strikes In Style

May 24, 2021

SPANISH KISS broke his maiden tag in impressive fashion at a rain soaked York on Saturday, much to the delight of his owners Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds. Jockey Daniel Muscutt had him settled beautifully behind the leaders throughout the race and turning for home he peeled Spanish Kiss out of the pack and when asked for his effort he picked up impressively to win by 3 1/4 lengths.

After a few near misses for the horse in the past it was great for him to get his head in front and it will hopefully be a real confidence booster for him as he looks an exciting prospect going forward on rain softened ground.

We have had a frustrating run recently with a heap of placed horses so to break the bad run was a great lift for the yard and hopefully now most of the horses have a run under their belts this season, we can be adding more to this years tally.
