Spanish Doubles Up

June 23, 2021

SPANISH KISS followed up his win at York with an even more impressive performance on Saturday at Newmarket. The heavens opened a couple of days before his race to provide his much loved soft ground conditions. Settled behind the leaders Spanish Kiss had to be shaken up heading into the dip and he responded immediately to pull clear of the field and win by 4 1/2 lengths at the line.

He is starting to look like a really exciting prospect in the staying division and providing he can continue to find soft ground he will be aimed at some big handicaps at the back end of the season. It is also fantastic for owners Kennet Valley Thoroughbreds to have another progressive horse for us, along with Sir Busker, they certainly have plenty to look forward to for the second half of the season.
