ROYAL VELVET produced yet another tough display when winning the 7f British EBF Fillies' Handicap (Heritage Handicap) at York on Thursday.

The 4 year old daughter of Lightning Spear was held up towards the rear but soon made headway on the far side of the group from 3f out. She showed an impressive turn of foot with a strong finish to win by 1 length under jockey William Buick.

This was ROYAL VELVET’S 7^th  career win and her 3^rd this season. Well done to her owner and breeder Mrs Susie Hartley. What a filly!
