Pearl Beach cruises to Wolverhampton win

November 16, 2020

Pearl Beach recorded her second career win today when landing the 1m4f Apprentice Handicap at Wolverhampton. Sent off the market leader, she justified favouritism and always looked to have things under control. She broke well but jockey Pierre-Louis Jamin kept hold of her to ensure that she had some cover throughout the race. He kept the 3yo daughter of Footstepsinthesand handy in the box seat. Turning for home the leaders came under pressure and Pearl Beach cruised past them taking up the running. She pulled away to win by 4 lengths.

Congratulations to her owners/breeders Mr & Mrs Welby.

Elsewhere, it was a productive evening for the team at Kempton with Aldrich Bay finishing second in the 1m3f handicap and Kalimotxo third in the 6f handicap.
