LUZON HEIGHTS shed his maiden tag at the 5th time of asking with a convincing win at Southwell on Tuesday. He travelled in the middle of the pack in this 1 mile Nursery Handicap under jockey Hector Crouch, making his move 1 furlong from home. He still looked a little green but as the penny dropped he pulled away nicely to win by two lengths. He really appreciated the step up to 1 mile and should be a nice horse for next year.
