KING OF THE SOUTH added to his impressive all- weather record with another win on Saturday at Wolverhampton. He had been incredibly progressive last winter, mainly at Newcastle, but he showed his versatility back on a sharper track and produced his most impressive victory to date. Ridden handily by jockey Callum Shepherd, he cruised round chasing the leader and looked as though he had over travelled through the race. However when Callum asked the horse to go an win his race he duly obliged leaving the rest of the field coming home in long intervals.

He has now earned an official handicap rating of 101 and looks like an exciting prospect heading into the winter months.
