King Of The North

November 10, 2020

KING OF THE SOUTH won the 1m2f handicap at Newcastle this afternoon, having been off the track for 8 months. He had been training well at home so we expected him to put in a good effort today. The 3yo son of Kingman slotted in behind the leaders and travelled well into the race. Jockey Callum Shepherd angled him out in the final 2f and he hit the front with a furlong left to run. He stuck to his task well and fought off the challenges of the eventual runner up to win by just under a length.

He is a lovely big horse and should be open to further improvement.
