Shady McGee shed his maiden tag in the 1m handicap at Kempton this evening. He has been learning and improving with each run and the step up to a mile, coupled with the first time run in handicap company, suited him well. The 2yo son of Zoffany has been putting in some decent homework and we were confident that conditions would suit him today. He raced handily and managed to get his head in front with a final effort close to the line. The 2yos have been running well and we still have some unraced colts to get out on the track.
Congratulations to US based owner David Greathouse who has supported us since we took over Rathmoy Stables in May.
