Gold Arch blazes to Wolverhampton win

June 21, 2020

Gold Arch annihilated his rivals in the 1m6f handicap at Wolverhampton this afternoon. Stepped up in trip he enjoyed a perfectly judged ride by jockey Adam Kirby who was happy to sit out at the rear, off what looked to be a quick early pace. In form Kirby steered his mount wide around the home turn and soon swept past the leaders putting the race to bed in a matter of strides. The winning margin was 7.5 lengths, but there was a further 9.5 length gap back to the third horse, making this a pretty impressive win. The horses are in fantastic form with the yard enjoying 2 winners from 2 runners this weekend, bringing the strike rate up to 25%. Congratulations to Gold Arch's owners, Middleham, Ventura, Delaney, Black and a huge well done to the team at Rathmoy Stables.
