DESERT GULF notched his third win of the year when scoring narrowly at Newcastle on Tuesday. Ridden with plenty of patience as usual it looked like jockey Daniel Tudhope had left it too late but a final furlong flourish saw them come home to lead for the final strides and win by a neck.

He has been a real star for us this year, winning two races at Yarmouth (one breaking the track record over 6f!) earlier in the year and then to carry on his winning form into the latter stages of the season is incredible. He has settled down so well now in his work at home and at the races which as a result he is running much more consistent races.

He is still only a 3 year old so hopefully there is still more to come from this progressive son of Kodiac.
