French Minstrel backed up his Lingfield win of last month when scoring in the 1m4f handicap at Kempton Park this afternoon. It was a slightly messy race with a muddling pace, but Martin Harley always had this 4yo son of Gutaifan up with the leaders. He looks to enjoy this trip and his running style suggests that he may even get further.

He is a straightforward horse and, now that he has worked out what it is all about, should be open to further improvement.

The horses are all in good form as we head into the flat season and we are looking forward to getting a few more out on the track in the coming weeks.
