Pearl Beach romped home in the 1m4f handicap under Tom Queally at Lingfield this evening. She has been knocking on the door all season, having been placed in her previous three starts this term. She seemed to relish the polytrack and showed a nice turn of foot. She was stuck in a pocket on the rail and had plenty of ground to make up, but she did it easily in the end and ran out a convincing 5 length winner. She should surely have more improvement and will likely stay further in time.

Congratulations to her owner/breeders Mr and Mrs Welby whose first horse in training was Pearl Beach's dam Western Pearl, now the foundation mare of their East Sussex stud.
