Good Work From Glen

July 2, 2021

GOODWOOD GLEN showed his best side at Newbury yesterday as he broke his maiden tag at the fourth time of asking. He had been a little in and out in his previous runs but the re-application of a visor really helped him concentrate and he dug deep to win by half a length. Jockey Sean Levey settled him into a prime position behind the leaders and although they fell away early and left him in front soon enough, he kept finding more with the first two pulling clear of the third horse.

It was fantastic to see so many GROG members attend the meeting and even better to reward them with a winner! He is still a fairly unexposed horse so providing the handicapper doesn't get too carried away we can all look forward to a fruitful rest of the season with him.
