Desert Gulf won impressively at the first time of asking at Wolverhampton on Tuesday. The 2yo son of Kodiac has been putting in some promising home work so it was not surprising to see him run a nice race here. Quickly away, he sat in behind the leaders and came to win his race in the final furlong. He managed to fend off the eventual second by a neck, with a decent gap back to the rest of the pack. He looks a smart prospect for the future.
